It's a girl! (19 weeks pics)

I know, I know.. it's been a while since I've posted anything new.  As a lot of you already know, we are having a little girl.  We are excited.  I have to go back for another u/s so they can get a better look at her spine and heart.  I'll keep everyone posted.

Also, I posted a picture of our tree.  It's specialized with the "star" that Zane made at Awana's and our ornament that Kathryn and Chip got us from Houmas House (where we got married).

13 Weeks and Counting...

I know that I haven't been very good about keeping this updated.  Here are the pictures of the little bean's progress in my tummy.  I'm not sure how well you can tell from the pictures, but my tummy is growing.  We have an appointment and it's another u/s, so we are excited to see the little one again.  I will keep everyone posted!

Our Doctor's Appointment and T-Ball

I just wanted to share a picture of our little bean from the ultra sound on Friday.  It's really blurry b/c I had to take a picture of the print out from the doctor.  We were so amazed at how much the baby looks like a baby, lol.  I know that may sound strange, but when I saw Zane for the first time he really just looked like a bean.  This picture you can see the little head and body!  Such a blessing!

Okay, so it took a lot of nerve.. But I'm going to take weekly pictures of my ever growing baby bump.  This is something that I wouldn't do when I was pregnant with Zane, and I really regret it.  So, for this pregnancy I'm going to show off our baby growing, instead of trying to cover up my growing tummy.  I'm still shocked how much my belly has grown though.  They say that you start showing a lot earlier when you've already had a baby, but this is ridiculous.  Of course, I guess it could also be the lasting effects of Ike ;)
I couldn't get away without posting a picture of Zane too!  These are from his T-Ball practice.  Such a cute little baseball player!

We're Pregnant!!!

Hard to deny 4 positive tests...
Is it just me or does he look scared?!?

No Faint Line Here...

My 3 Boys during Ike...

     My New Hair "Do"

Yep... Zane is going to be a big brother in May.  We obviously didn't plan for this little bundle of joy, but we are really excited.  We have an u/s scheduled on Friday Oct. 3rd, and at the appointment we should get our "official" due date.  Besides this evening, I've been feeling pretty good the past couple of days.  Before tonight, Monday was the last day that I felt "woozy" and not too hot!

Also, yesterday I got about 10 inches cut off of my hair!!!  It needed it in the worst way.  I'm so upset that I didn't even think of donating my hair... Derek mentioned it when I got home and I wanted to kick myself.

Last but not least... We survived Ike just fine.  Our power came back on late yesterday afternoon :)

Zane’s Fall Activities

Zane is going to be a busy little guy this fall.

This Wednesday he went to his first Awana meeting. Awana is a National Non-Denominational Club designed to teach children how to have a personal relationship with Christ. Zane is in the Cubbies Awana Club. Next week, he will get his vest, and when he recites his 3 Bible verses he’ll get his first patch. Derek had already started teaching Zane new Bible verse per week (he can already recite 4 verses by heart). Also, one of his best friends from Kindercare goes to Awana on Wednesday nights. The Awana Cubbies will meet every Wednesday, and it’s a two-year weekly club program.

We also signed him up for Team Kids Baseball (T-Ball) at SBC. He is so excited to start playing with his “team.” The practices start September 20th and the games will start October 4th. The season will consist of 9 practices and 7 games. I will be sure to keep the blog updated with pictures of him and his team.

Home Sweet Home...

I wanted to share pictures of our house, since I know we have loved ones pretty far away... Take into consideration it's still a work in progress. I don't think we have one room that we would consider to be completely finished.

Southwest Airlines...

Derek received a call from the chief pilot at the Baltimore base offering him the job. Seeing as the week before Derek received the furlough letter from CAL, this couldn't have come at a better time. We feel so blessed right now, and know that the Lord is going to keep our family safe.

Zane is still trying to get used to saying that him and Dad fly a purple plane... but with time I think he'll be more accepting. I'm sure when he sees the Shamu planes he'll be ecstatic.

On Monday Derek goes in for his drug test, and once that comes back it will be official. Hopefully, at that time we will know his official start date.

Just Getting Started

I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep this up, but no promises!
